I am a mother of two wonderful teenage young men and a dedicated wife of 32 years. I also have extended family in Spain that includes another young man, whom I affectionately consider my son, and his mother.
My ministry passion is facilitating spiritual growth and support groups for women. I have also been active in organizing women’s retreats and events, speaking at women’s functions and sharing my testimony at Celebrate Recovery meetings.
God has recently given me dreams to be a writer. He is the author of my story and I am blessed to work in collaboration with Him on making it known in whatever way He leads. My writing includes church e-devotionals and regularly blogging at ardisanelson.com/makingmebold/.
My first manuscript, “Walking My Mother Home”, was published in a compilation in August 2012. Journeys To Mother Love, published by Cladach Publishing, includes nine stories of forgiveness and healing by authors spanning four generations and from many parts of the United States.
My hobbies and spare time are devoted to photography, scrapbooking, reading, and writing my memoir. I participated in my first NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November 2012, completing 6 chapters and over 30,000 words on my memoir.
I reside with my family and our miniature schnauzer in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington.
